Crimsafe is the only security screen product in Australia where the mesh is screwed into the frame and clamped down with a patented device called the "Screw-Clamp™".
Attempts to break through Crimsafe by trying to kick it out of the frame, are inevitably unsuccessful due to the fact that the screws are drilled through the mesh and into the other side of the frame with massive torque, forcing the Crimsafe patented Screw-Clamp™ to bite down on the mesh to grip it in a near unbreakable hold.
International patents mean that other security screens can't feature the same design or offer the same strength.
The mesh is made out of .9 mm thick Premium 304 Grade Security wire strands, and woven together in such a tight way that each strand supports the others around it.
Many competitors only use a 0.8mm mesh, so Crimsafe mesh has a 26.5% greater cross-section than the others and is correspondingly stronger.
Crimsafe actually repels the physical assault that a burglar or intruder would apply and Crimsafe resists attempts to cut through it like no other security screen.
Crimsafe meets and exceeds all Australian Standards and several Industry Standards which are even tougher. Australian Standard AS 5039-2008 specifies a number of tests, and Crimsafe passes them all with flying colours.
Visit the Crimsafe homepage for further information on testing.
Resists the Elements
The black coating of Crimsafe mesh actively repels the build-up of dust and impurities that can make your screens look dirty. It was developed in conjunction with Dulux and makes Crimsafe the only commercial grade UV fade-resistant screen.
This specially developed black powdercoating also makes Crimsafe highly resistant against corrosion - even in coastal areas.
In general Crimsafe does not impede your view in any substantial way, but this can depend on lighting conditions.
The black Crimsafe mesh absorbs light, and is non-reflective, so when you look through the mesh all you see is light that has come straight through the holes, making it easy to see outside.
Peace of Mind
Crimsafe doors utilise mid-rails as a standard, to make them even stronger while enhancing the architectural design of your home.
Crimsafe windows have a unique Safe-S-Cape® design which enables grilles to be simply pushed open in the case of an emergency exit. Crimsafe exceeds all the compulsory Australian Standards for security doors and windows.
The Crimsafe guarantee warrants you as the owner of a Crimsafe Security Product, that it is free from defects in materials supplied by Crimsafe under conditions of normal use for a period of 10 years from the date of installation. Don’t be sold on anything less.
